TALLY
Tally is one of the popular financial accounting software available in different nations. Tally provides the simplest, most powerful business management software to handle as well as the more traditional functions such as financial accounting, inventory management, sales and purchases order processing, invoice etc.. Tally uses the operating system such as MS windows 98,2000RP etc.. The latest version of tally is ERP-9.
STRUCTURE OF TALLY SCREEN
Tally Screen has been divided into four broad areas. They are :-
1. Title area of product information
This section given the information of the product such as name, version name, version number, release number, developer name, company logo, tally serial number system, time and date, etc...
2. Work area
The work area has two subcase namely left hand side and write hand side.
Left hand side of the area displace the current period & date, list of setting
company’s, etc.. The write hand side of then work area displace the copy main having various functions.

3. Calculates or ODBC server area
This area is used to perform calculations her ODBC means (Open Data Basic Connectivity) the key commination to activate this area is Control + N and the key combination to deactivate this area Control + M.
4. Batain Function
This area consists of various Batain which are used to exclude the functions assign and if may before from location to location.
OPENING & CLOSING OF TALLY
Opening Tally :
Tally can be opened by the following ways.
• Double click on the tally icon from the desktop.
• If tally icon is not in desktop Select > Programmes > Tally ERP 9.
Closing Tally :
Tally can be closed by 3 ways. Such as
• Press ESC key till option is displace at the middle of the screen and then press enter key.
• After pressing ESC key and quit option displace at the enter of the screen press .
• After displaying quit option at the enter of the screen by processing ESC key click to the yes by the mouse.
